Weekly Poll: The Recap Song

As you’ve probably noticed from the last two episodes, the Recap Song has been put on the back burner as of late. I’m considering removing it from the show. I hate to, because I love doing them and I feel it’s one of the things that makes NLCast unique, but it’s taking a lot of time to mix them down. Time I just don’t have. Time that belongs to my family.

But before I take it from the back burner and dump it down the sink, I’d like to get an idea of what kind of impact it would have on you as a listener. Your input is appreciated. Feel free to start a thread in the forums or post a comment here if you want to elaborate on your vote.

    It would suck because it is one part that makes the cast truly unique, but in the end you do this podcast because you enjoy it, and you like to make others laugh. If you start doing things because you “have to” it stops being a fun hobby and starts becoming a second job. Plus family is always > podcast

    I’d miss it, but it would be ok. Besides, it never really was the same since David left. And although “I Have News For You” had the potential to be the next big hit on the Billboard Top 100, it just never had that same gratification that the old David collabs one had.

    A good compromise might be to have a monthly recap song recapping the previous 4 episodes…that way we still get the vocal talents of James and you don’t have to spend as much time devoted to it…

    Gah.. Rattface totally beat me to my idea. HE BROKE ME!

    But I totally agree, the Recap Song will be sorely missed, but if you don’t have a happy family, you don’t have a happy podcast host!
