  1. John Knipper says:

David-your AMAZING! You know who loves ya…

  2. DofN says:

    Hey all,
I just heard the podcast. Fine then DAVID, gimme my five bucks back! OR since you are still here in the US of A, you can take that five bucks and get yourself a Happy Meal!
    :) Still lovin you guys!

  3. Koreo says:

Ya, this was a great show. And I have nothing against David’s mom.

  4. binaryspiral says:

The scammer used a “bait and switch” tactic to charge the extra fees.

I can understand the frustration – kids sitting outside, car locked…

But when he wouldn’t take CC or Check, and wanted to follow me to an ATM – that would have been a longer trip to the Police Station, not the ATM.

  5. Bonnie says:

I’m with binaryspiral. I would never let anyone follow me to the ATM. Of course, I think in many ways women are more wary of these types of situations than men. That’s nothing bad about men; it’s just drilled into women’s heads from birth or something.

I would submit complaints to the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Reports, Angie’s List….anywhere I could be heard, just to make a point. I’d also call the particular business & tell them what their service representative did. You might be able to get some closure via that route (& by threatening a lawsuit for the terror your kids were in & the scariness of following to the ATM :^)
