Shelf Keeps Kitty Off Your Keyboard, So Does Mace
I saw this add in the middle of our copy of Kansas City Parent magazine… and I thought it was a joke. It’s not.
I love how the lady is so upset that her cat is pressing the C key. She looks so genuinelly distrought… because there’s no way in the world you could ever JUST MOVE THE FLIPPIN’ CAT!! Gosh forbid!
No, let’s spend 30 bucks and buy the cat a little shelf for his pompus little rear. The only good thing about the second picture is that it looks like the photo was taken just moments after the lady has pushed said shelf (containing still unaware kitty) off the desk.
In first picture kitty is like, “I WILL PWAEE OVAR UR COMPUTAR 4 2 BLESZ IT!!”
In the second one he’s like, “HOVAR TWAEE!!!! U’RE DOIN IT RITE ACTUALLEE!!!!”
Oh wow. I don’t understand why people pamper their pets so much. If I were a cat I would not trust some slightly hovering shelf that’s placed on the edge of the desk with most of it hanging over the edge of the desk.

As someone who has a cat, I’m here to tell you, that cat would never go anywhere near that shelf.
I kinda figured that. Cats are like babies. If it’s made for them… or they’re allowed… they want nothing to do with it!
Ok, first of all moving kitty away from keyboard doesn’t work…kitty just comes back with a bit of extra butt in the monitor for good measure…secondly the shelf actually looks like a good idea, except the cat would likely ignore it in favor of more butt in the monitor.
Thirdly, I LOL’ed at James’ description of pushing the shelf and cat away
